Most of Nomad Tools isn’t AI. The day-counting, tax planning, housing and money tools are free to use. Two things are paid: automatic bank & brokerage sync, and the AI-powered extras (trip advisor, document scans, country lookups). The paid plans differ only in how the AI is powered.

Questions
What is the Free plan?
All of the tracking and planning tools, with manual data entry, at no cost. The AI features and automatic bank & brokerage sync are the two things that require a paid plan.
What is BYOK ($6/month)?
Bring Your Own Key. You connect your own Anthropic API key and the AI features run on it — you pay Anthropic directly for what you use, with no limit from us. It’s the cheapest way to get the AI features and automatic bank sync. Plus and Pro instead include the AI on our key, with nothing to set up.
What is the fair-use AI limit on Plus and Pro?
Plus and Pro include AI up to a daily limit that comfortably covers normal use. If you ever reach it, AI pauses until the next day while the rest of the app keeps working — or move up to Pro for a higher limit, or use BYOK to run the AI on your own key with no limit.
How many bank or brokerage accounts can I link?
Free is manual entry only (no linked accounts). BYOK links up to 6, Plus up to 12, and Pro up to 30 — roughly your plan price in accounts. Limits count individual accounts (one bank or brokerage login often holds several — e.g. checking + savings + brokerage = 3), and are per household.
Can I change plans?
Yes — move between Free, BYOK, Plus and Pro whenever you like.
Monthly or annual?
Both. Annual billing saves roughly two months compared with paying monthly.
When does billing start?
Nomad Tools is in invite-only beta and paid plans aren’t switched on yet. The free tools are available now; join the waitlist and you’ll get a trial of the paid plans when they go live.
